Patrick Tay, Assistant Secretary-General, National Trades Union Congress
Patrick Tay is the Assistant Secretary-General of NTUC and also Director of NTUC’s Legal Services and Strategy Departments. He currently co-chairs the Financial Sector Tripartite Committee with the Monetary Authority of Singapore and the PME Taskforce with the Singapore National Employer’s Federation. He is also the Executive Secretary for the Banking & Financial Services Union and Singapore Manual & Mercantile Workers’ Union.
Sopnendu Mohanty, Chief Fintech Officer, Monetary Authority of Singapore
Sopnendu Mohanty is responsible for creating development strategies, public infrastructure and regulatory policies around technology innovation. Mohanty has spent over 20 years in various leadership roles globally in technology, finance and innovation. He has co-authored several patented works in area of retail distribution of the financial sector.
Mohanty extensively engages with ecosystems of various jurisdictions on innovation, policy making and tech enabled financial services. He is on the Institutional Investor’s list of influential FinTech global dealmakers. Mohanty has been recognised internationally as a FinTech thought leader and he was recently named the Market Reformer of the Year by IFL, Euromoney.
Matthias Kröner, Founder and Former Chief Executive Officer, Fidor Bank
Matthias “mk” Kröner is a highly respected thought leader within the global financial services community when it comes to planning, building and operating disruptive and customer-centric digital banking business models. The tech enthusiast is one of few people worldwide who has co-founded two digital banks, serving them as entrepreneur and CEO. DAB Bank was the Europe´s first Discount Broker, while 2009 founded Fidor Bank is seen to be the oldest fintech bank of the world.
