Applications are invited for the position of Lecturer in Creative Writing: Playwriting, Screenwriting and Adaptation in the English Department.

The successful candidate will join a team of award-winning writers in the department, including seven Fellows of the Royal Society of Literature.

You will have a national profile as an author with experience writing for stage and/or screen, and experience teaching creative writing at the undergraduate level. You will have demonstrated the ability to work with others in teaching and/or administration. You are committed to inclusive teaching and curriculum diversification and have a strong commitment to pastoral support and mentorship.

Applicants will be expected to provide instruction in creative writing at the BA level, with an emphasis on playwriting and screenwriting. The incumbent will also be expected to teach a course on Theory and Critical History of Screen Adaptations for English and Creative Writing students and contribute to extracurricular enrichment activities.
